What is included in a luxury train vacation?

A luxury train vacation is a seamless, all-inclusive travel experience where every detail has been carefully arranged. Luxurious accommodation, fine dining, and curated excursions are all part of the journey – all tied together by an exceptional team who go above and beyond to ensure your every need is met.

What are the cabins like on a luxury train?

The cabins on our luxury trains are designed to offer a five-star hotel experience on wheels. Our elegantly furnished cabins come with all the amenities you’d expect from a luxury sleeper train holiday, including your own en-suite bathroom and a dedicated cabin attendant who will be at your service for the duration of the journey.

Are off-train excursions included?

All off-train excursions are included on the majority of our journeys. If you do not wish to take an excursion, you are welcome to stay onboard the train, or our management team will be happy to make alternative arrangements for you.

How far in advance should I plan my trip?

Many of our tours sell out quickly, so we recommend booking as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Be that as it may, you might find that some tours have last-minute spots available – you can make an enquiry by emailing reservations@getrains.com or calling our office on +44 (0) 161 928 9410.

Are luxury train vacations suitable for older travellers?

Our luxury rail holidays are perfectly suitable for older travellers. The majority of our travellers are aged 55+ and the average age is 65.

Are luxury train journeys suitable for guests with limited mobility?

Guests with limited mobility are very welcome on our luxury rail holidays, but please make us aware in advance – our trains are not wide enough to accommodate wheelchairs, so arrangements will need to be made to ensure you have a comfortable journey.

If you require a wheelchair for off-train excursions, this must be arranged at the time of booking. Unfortunately, it may not be possible for you to go on all of the excursions, but we will do our best to accommodate and provide an alternative itinerary for you.

Can I travel solo on a luxury train journey?

Absolutely. We often have lots of solo travellers on our tours, with many of them making friends for life and arranging to travel together on future tours with us.
