The health and safety of our guests and staff is of paramount importance to us. We are continuously and closely monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) developments and will continue to prioritise the safety of our guests and train staff.
We have always employed stringent safety and sanitation protocols on each and every one of our trains, and we will continue to do so, with special measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
For example, we are planning to operate a 'social bubble' system on the train, ensuring our guests travel, dine and socialise in small groups of no more than 25 guests.
There will also be changes to our on-board dining experience, replacing any buffets with table service and offering lighter meal options to be enjoyed in the privacy of guest cabins. We will also introduce two seating times for meals on board to allow for social spacing. All touchpoints, like chairs and salt and pepper shakers, will be immediately disinfected after each seating.
All guests and train staff will be required to sanitise their hands when entering public spaces, when coming back on board the train each day, and before each meal. We also require masks to be worn at all times where social spacing cannot be observed, with the exception of dining.
In addition to our enhanced safety protocols, we ask that all our guests and staff members travel responsibly, adhering to our new measures on board our tour departures to ensure that all guests have a safe, fulfilling and enjoyable experience on board. » Please download our Covid-19 protocols PDF for further information.
We will continue to develop these protocols and our health and safety policy in line with the very latest advice issued by worldwide government and health authorities, including the World Health Organisation (WHO) and will provide a full update in writing to guests prior to each individual tour departure.
