Supporting a very important cause

Golden Eagle Luxury Trains are matching donations made by passengers booking on their new tour for 2022 – the Hungarian Fall Colours. The company will be matching donations up to the value of £500 (or equivalent in dollars and euros) per individual bookings, to help support the incredible and spontaneous help being offered by the Hungarian people.

The Altrincham-based company, which operates in Europe and Asia, have also donated clothes to support Ukrainian refugees in Poland and Hungary.

In addition, Hungarian-based staff members have aided in the transport of refugees from the Ukrainian border to Budapest.

Company President and Founder, Tim Littler said: “We are all deeply saddened and shocked by the recent events in Ukraine. However, it has been greatly humbling and heart-warming to see how proactive our staff and clients have been in proposing ways to assist those in need.

“As a company, we have always prided ourselves on supporting charitable causes. Following the catastrophic Sri Lankan Tsunami in 2004, we were able to raise funds to support local fishermen and fund the construction of 10 new fishing boats to support the economic recovery of the local community.

Moreover, through our Indian tours, we have supported the charity ‘The Railway Children’ – a charity which helps parentless children in India.”

Golden Eagle Luxury Trains are one of the many Cheshire based companies who are working hard to support those overseas. Speaking on the matter, Altrincham and Sale West MP, Sir Graham Brady said:

“As Russia’s barbaric illegal invasion of Ukraine proceeds, I am very proud of the efforts being made by local people, schools, charities, and businesses to support the Ukrainians in their hour of need.
