New Guest Astronomer

We are delighted to introduce you all to our new Guest Astronomer, Professor John Zarnecki.

Since obtaining a PhD degree in Physics and Astronomy from the University College London, John has been instrumental in delivering a number of space missions. He has also held the title of President of the Royal Astronomical Society, receiving the highest prize the society has to offer: The Gold Medal. This prestigious award recognises a lifetime’s work and outstanding contributions to the fields of astronomy.

Professor Zarnecki will be joining us for the first time on ‘Arctic Explorer: Quest for the Northern Lights’ in February 2019. He will be on hand to advise us during star-gazing, bringing the night sky to life with his extensive knowledge. Having John on board with us will give guests the best chance of viewing the elusive Northern Lights – an item high on all of our bucket lists!

We look forward to welcoming John and all of our guests on board the Arctic Explorer. To find out more about this tour, please click the link below.
