Essential works began last week to restore one of the world's most iconic landmarks - the Taj Mahal.
The work is on schedule to be completed by mid-September this year ahead of World Tourism Day, which takes place on September 27th. Still, as the work is being carried out on the four minarets at the rear of the monument, photo opportunities and visitor experience are unlikely to be affected.
